When asked, Designers Respond in mass

When asked, Designers Respond in mass

 |  Events

On April 13 Step Brightly joined the masses of AIGA members and other designers to talk, at length, about design. One Day for Design was a hit! I often wondered if we are talking to ourselves but you can’t deny the results below:

  • More than 30,000 tweets
  • Nearly 3,900 Twitterers
  • More than 650 hashtags tweeted
  • #1D4D ranked as the number-four trending hashtag on Twitter in the US
  • Visitors to this site posted more than 300 entries on AIGA’s blog

Again, kudos to all of the moderators and VSA Partners for the straight-forward design for One Day For Design (image above is from the website). Here are a few of our favorite conversation starters throughout the day.

@stepbrightly: Best way to sell strategy is to show clients how design DOESN’T work w/o it. Use Q/A to show clients how much they need to know #1D4D

@stepbrightly: Students should be required to take a toastmakers class to help sell! I think presentation is 3/4 of a design. #1D4D

@stepbrightly: We need AIGA at local level to act as a support group for like-minded folks. It’s like a big hug after ur computer crashes
